how much would it cost to buy one of these?? ...the reason i ask is i have one and might sell it to buy a smaller engine. ....maybe trade. who knows

It's not worth much. Probably $200 or so. I'll be by to pick it up later :-)

seriously, it depends on the condition. A low mileage runner (long block)could go well over a $1000 maybe even $2000.

If it's not running and it's already .060 over, it could be worth very little.

tell us more about the motor...

bored .010 over. runs very strong, the case is a little dirty though, but ill clean it. i might rebuild it. original heads, intake, carburetor, exhaust....everything is original and in very good condition. i need something with better gas mileage. and a new transmission to boot! damn truck is turning into a money pit.

If it is indeed a 428CJ and it's .010 over with reasonable miles, put it oneBay. you will fetch enough to get a 302, tranny and 10-15 lap dances.

Ya I might be? I can get a 302 and a tranny in California..not a problem, I lived out there for 38 years before moving to Virginia:-} can ya send me some engine code #s
