Missing STI wire???

I finally got my truck on the road. Didn't have too many problems other than a wire coming loose off the terminal on front tank pump. Thought I was getting to good of gas milage. Anyway, one day the idle starting acting up and got a check engine light. I had purchased a code reader and had'nt had a chance to use it yet. When I went to hook it up, there is only the large connector under the hood for the EEC-IV test. I looked all over the engine compartment and under the dash and nothing. I did some research and found that this is a white/red wire coming from pin #48 on the computer harness. Pulled the harness plug off and found wire. Traced it to large grommet going into cab and up and behind the dash on driver's side and disappears. Can anyone give me an idea of where it goes without having to rip dash and harness apart.
TIA

It should go to right next to the big diagnostic plug under the hood. I don't know why it is going up into the cab - mine goes straight from the computer to right next to the diagnostic plug.
