Mine is a '74 F250 Camper Special. It was restored 4-5 years ago.
My wiring diagram says there is a Marker Lamp Relay, or a plug for it.
I have a need to use this relay since I have a Camper now.
I'm betting I taped back the connector plug. I'm asking for the location of this plug. It will save me cutting into my harness and tracing the wires.
The relay itself is a three pole with a BK-W wire from the fuseable links.
A brown wire from the light switch. And a black that go to my camper plug.
I've done a search in electrical and this forum already.
Thanks for your help.
Yes, I'm using the plug for the camper now. The black wire from the relay runs to the camper plug so the overhead marker/clearance lights of the camper are illuminated.
The purpose of that relay is so that one wouldn't simply use a wire from the tailights.
On my camper there are a total of 14 overhead/marker/clearance lights. With this kind of draw a relay would be needed.
Since the Camper Special has this provision, all I need to know is the location of that relay plug/connector, simply plug in the relay and I'll have my overhead/clearance lights operational as designed.
If it truly has a factory relay, It could be under the dash or under the hood.
Looking at the schematic,I would suggest it is behind the dash around the headlight switch.
The reason I suggest this is the roof marker lights harness usually runs up the driver side door pllar, therefore, picking up power from the relay near that position.
