weird bumpy feeling
Sometimes in my truck it feels like im driving over a grooved road or something, at first I thought it was the road, maybe where someone drove a bulldozer or excavator up the road or something but then when I drive over the same spot some other time it wont do it. It also seems to go away when I drop the speed below 30mph. I was thinking it could be misbalanced tires and or shocks... what do you guys think?

Out of round tires....I just went thru this
Just purchased 4 Goodyear MTR's and after install had the same sensation you describe. I too thought it was the road until I noticed it always happend at aprox 40 mph. Would go away below or above this speed. I took them back to tire shop and told them to re-balance. While doing the re-balance they discovered 2 tires out of round; replaced those tires and poof

Tires = bumpy
If they are factory tires they are crap. Had the same thing with my 99 F250. Put BF All Terrains on, deffinately the way to go. With the heavy duty trucks, the only way to go is with a good 10 ply

What happens is the axle shaft stub binds on the hub bearings and starts to spin causing the problem .

Not to alarm you, but how long have you had your truck? Have you had a chance to use your 4 wheel drive yet? The 99's and early 2000 are famous for bad hubs. But I really think that after you check your bearings that your problem is the crappy factory tires.

sorry it took me so long to get back to this... well i turned the 4wd on while driving down the road right while the problem was happening and the problem went away and hasn't come back since.?.?
i have had the truck since october 03 and yes i have used the 4wd and it works.
