Several members have replaced their heater core. A quick search will reveal quite a bit of information about the project. It will take more than a couple of hours to remove the dash and having a couple of friends around to help is not a bad idea. It is a involved process.
ooo heater cores are so much fun just get a good book on your truck and its fairly easy, just takes awhile, i ran into a few problems trying to find some screws that hold the dash in. i had to get my brothers help for a little bit but i did it mostly by myself. if you get stuck just search on here for other instructions. when you get done count how many screws you have left over and let us know. maybe you can beat me there are some pics in my gallery of the dash removed from when i did it. good luck!!!
yeah it took me almost a day to replace my heater core door , which was stuck , whole dash needs to come down, thanks to ford engineers. It is kind of hard to remember where all those screws came from, when you are putting it back together,
i had few screws left over.....so it is vise to have some others helping you...good luck
