accessory question

i've got a 2004 f150 5.4 fx4 package. am thinking about either a bug shield or a bra for the front end. was just wondering what anyone thinks about it or what they have already done. have plenty of other mods in mind, but have an idea on what i want to do otherwise. Thank you in advance.

Bra promotes alot most scratching, and if theres no play in it on install, there will be after a while fom stretching.

Be careful with the bug deflector... some cause massive vibration in the 04 f150.
I had a stampede on mine and got tired of it vibrating the hood at any speed over 70 so I took it off.

I got the Ford F150 bug shield and it looks nice and does the job. My son has the same truck and he does not have a bug shield. He has many more bugs on the hood and windshield than I do.

Be warned however, the bug shield "ain't cool". It is "an old man thing" according to the younger guys.

i see with the oem bug shield that they have a high or low profile, which did you go with.

I did not know there was an option. Mine would have to be the low profile. It has held up well in the 5 months and looks nice. It has F150 written on the corner and I have not heard any additional sound from it.

You can see a picture a the following link:
http://www.fordaccessories.com/dept....d=1006&dept=27

They have several things for the new F150. I think www.fordaccessories.com is a Ford dealer that got smart and setup a website to market the accessories. I ordered a couple of things from them. The Ford all weather floor mats are awful.

i was looking at www.fordgenuineaccessories.com for some accessories. found a few things that i will probably get and the prices seem cheaper than on the website that you listed. would be worth a look anyway.

Wow, that place IMO is much better, and yes the prices are cheaper. Seems like a lot of the stock they have is the *same* stuff that the other place has, just the prices are better, and FGA has more accessories as well. Anyway, yeah. Latah.
