windsheild washer set up
i have a 94 f150. and i hate the way the windsheild washer is set up. when i push the windsheild washer fluid button it squirts then automatically kicks on the wipers. i hate that cuz i use some of that bug remover chemicals in my washer fluid and i like to let it sit a lil to eat away at the bugs first, but with the wind sheild wipers kicking on right away i gotta squirt a bunch cuz the wipers start wiping it away before it has time to get to work.
anyone know how to rig is so that pushing the button on activates the washers and not the wipers

Cut the hot wire at the washer pump, tape off the end not attached to the pump and run another hot wire from a keyed power source to a momentary button switch you will mount somewhere in the cab then to a relay. Use the pushbutton to activate the relay, use the relay to activate the windshield washer pump and there you are. I don't think you can do the same thing with the factory switch - it controls more than just the washers.
