Another Tach Question

I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find a answer about how I should hook up power to the tach I am installing. I found and spliced to the tan and yellow wire and put in the ground so I am pretty close to being done. I am a total noob to this kind of thing so I can't figure out where or how I can get power to the thing. I have heard to go right into the fuse box, but I have no idea how I would go about doing this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and be specific because I'm not to familiar with some the the lingo you guys use. Thanks.

I don't know what year your truck is, but on my 98 Ranger it was very easy to splice into the power supply for the radio and run it over to the tach. As for the light power, I spliced into the wire for one of the running lights.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I figured it out.

It sure is nice to have a working tach.

I agree. It was a big difference when I finally hooked mine up. Glad to hear you got it working. By the way, Welcome to FTE!
