Help w/ Holley

I have a 4 barrel Holley on my 351w in my boat. It runs great till it has been ran for an hour or so then it won't idle and is really hard to start. I don't know the cfm or the model off hand but it has the two little adjusting screws on both sides of the bowl in front. I'm assuming its the carb that is the problem. Thanks for all the input. Jason

Fuel delivery problem??
Maybe the fuel line is run too close to a heat source {exhaust manifolds?}and "boils" or "vapor locks" the gas in the line?? That would explain the hot only symptoms.
If so, reroute and/or insulate the fuel lines.

I don't think its a vapor lock problem. I guess anything is possible but the line runs from the carb straight in front of the engine to a fuel filter/water seperator. Its in a boat so the exhaust manifolds stay much cooler than a cars. I'm thinking its more on the lines of timing and a old timing chain. Ideas?
