Ok, last weekend I changed my radiator fluid, and lately I have been noticing a little extra puddle, so I opened my hood and checked and there was a little stream of radiator fluid coming from the bottom of the cap, so I figured I didn't tighten it enough so I waited for it to cool and I took it off and really tightened it(had to add about 2 cups of fluid ). I just got back from town, not even a 15 min. trip, pulled into the garage was walking away and heard water running turned around and poped the hood and saw that water was pracatly gushing gout from the bottom of the cap!! What could be wrong? Do the seals on the caps go bad? Or could the radiator of cracked at the top ??
Did you check the underside of the cap? There could be a tear or some foreign object stuck to the inside. If all else fails, rad caps are pretty cheap, blown motors are not.
On further thought, is the cap on tight (not ment to be a smart azz), there is the "safety postion" where the cap will stay on the rad, but will relieve pressure
