I'm trying to install an amp in my truck, but I can't access the radio . Does anyone know how to do this ? I like my system to make people around me when I drive by, but if I can get my amp in, they will go .
Depending on the radio you have, most have four little holes in the faceplate. These holes are where a special tool is inserted to release four little spring clips. Once this is done, the whole unit slides right out.

How can I get that tool and how much is it, or is there something that I can use in replacement of that tool?
Yep I just used 4 nails about 3 inches long and shoved them in and the radio will pop out, might need a little persuasion. Nothing wrong with playing your stereo. Better to burn energy making a loud stereo than waste the energy on ripping your mailbox out at night
I got the tools to get it out. Was only $4.00, but not i can't get power to the amp. I hooked up the power cable, grounded it well, but no power. If anyone knows what could be wrong, please help . I checked the fuses and they were fine. There is a remote hookup that I saw and I didn't hook it up. Don't know if that could be the problem or not.
