NOS System piece by piece?

NOS System piece by piece?
I found this great kit at Summit Racing.http://store.summitracing.com/
Just what I want. A full kit no need for a bigger pump comes with nozzles and even has a switch. Just plan on starting with the smallest shot and working my up the ladder later on. A friend and I were discussing this and he said that another guy bought the items piece by piece and it costed a whole lot cheaper. Has anybody else done this, and if so what pieces will I need and anything else that migh be of importance? Im new to the NOS systems but figure If I can get around 25hp with the smallest shot I have spent my money well. If I went and bought headers and efans it would come out to around $700 for the ones I want and probably not get that type of range in hp that the bottole can. Any hints or tips would be helpful, actually anything reagrding parts, places, and prices would be sweet. Thanks Guys.
