No Break Lights!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!

I have a 2002 f150 and it came equiped with trailer tow package. well i recently bout a 97 f150 with a 5.4 and trailer tow so my 2002 is now jsut my show truck and it will no longer be used for towing or hauling. so today i decided to remove the factory trailer hitch and wiring for it. well after removing those parts i now have no break lights. i also checked the fuses and they are ok. i dont know what is wrong. if a wire was broke on one side that means that it would either blow a fuse or i would not have lights on one side. but i have no lights at all on either side. not even back up lights. anyone got any ideas??

Just an idea.....with a test light check to see if the connecter where you disconnected the "factory" harness has voltage with the signals on. Maybe the factory trailer harness "completes" the circuit for the truck tail lights. If so you may have to put it back. hope this helps

that what i was thinking. if i got to put it back on i am going to ahve to find a way to wire tie it to the inside of the frame so that it an not be seen. that thing is pretty ugly on the back of it.

Trailer lights have on the f150's have separate fuses from the truck lights, so you can have lights on truck and not on trailer working due to a blown fuse.
