I have my audiophile radio set to a Speed Volume 4. It seems to work just right when getting on the freeway, etc.
Now, sometimes just after I start the car or when I am getting the car in reverse the volume of the radio goes up for a second or so and is normal again. It's scared the bejeezus out of me a couple of times when for no apparent reason the radio starts blarring and then quiets down again.
I haven't been able to reproduce the problem and it only happens once in a while. Has anyone noticed the same problem?
Mine does it in reverse and sometimes when I roll up the driver's side window. I killed the speed volume and don't get it anymore. I decided I would rather control the volume manually than be forced to change my underwear every time the volume blasts me!
I don't have the Audiophile but I've had it happen a couple of times when coming to a stop. Just for a split second it spikes to highway volume. Thankfully I didn't have it up loud enough to require a change of pants.
I have the standard CD Player, and my volume would spike as I came to a stop when I had speed volume activated. When turned off, the problem went away.
I solved to problem by ripping out the standard CD player and putting in an aftermarket head unit!
