Yep, same here, I ordered mine last night. Now I'll have to start thinking about the 1715 and an air intake. Good thing I have a birthday coming up huh?
Forgot to say I am running Diablo switch too. Should it get reprogrammed?
I probably should ask Ken this in the tuning forum>>>
Since the efi on the truck uses a MAF which constantly measures airflow via a heated element and the fuel/timing tables are based on rpm/airflow the programming should allow some flexibility with increased airflow since the maf signal to the ecm will show the added airflow and fuel will be increased accordingly.
I'd just try it and see how the truck does, should be fine. The mustang crowd (which I've been a member of for years) has been adding cams, heads, intakes, Throttlebodys, exhausts, etc. to stock computers for years the the maf system allows all these mods with no problem.
The only way to really know, would be to strap the truck down to a chassis dyno with a wide band O2 sensor and take a few pulls to see what the air fuel ratio is across the rpm band. A common practice for us mustang guys. On my car, I have a programmable computer that I adjust the fuel and timing every 250rpm along with a number of other parameters to adjust for the heavily modified engine in the car...
Got mine yesterday, installed it and noticed a immediate improvement on the low end. That was until I really rung it out, now she comes on strong over 70mph. Only problem is I'm getting a lag before the cruise kicks in. When I set the cruise my MPH drops about 4mph then picks back up to the set speed. Any ideas on a fix?
Yea i noticed that as well, so i just hold the cruise on till i feel the pulse in the pedal an all is well. Just another couple seconds is all it takes.
Looks like it, but who really knows...either way, if you order from accufab an tell them the application they wont let you return it either, so you'd need to say its for a cobra...hehe. Social engineering its called. Work em. Or buy offa net an maybe get a good buy or not......
Does the one on ebay look like the correct application?
Save me $100!
ctb 96-98 is for the cobra or bullit mustangs. they fit the v10. when i bought mine the ctb werent available so got the sctb for the same price. true bolt on. no adjustments with cables either. dont have a spacer. dont think the gain (if any) is worth the trouble.
send the ebay listing a question on model #. if its for a 96 cobra it should be one of the two mentioned. it looks the same as mine but cant tell for sure.
