It doesn't quite work that way. There's no set in stone rule about what trannies came in what cars in what years. You can use it as a guideline, but there are no guarantees. What you want to ask for is a small block C6. The 302 shares bellhousing patterns with the 300 and the 351w, most commonly. A C6 with the different bellhousing pattern will not bolt up.
80 monels usually easiest found for a C6 mated 302. But I'd look for 351w cars and trucks for the C6 to mate in your truck. The books I've got doesn't list the C4 C5 behind a 351w. This link has some info to help.
