Wonderin' how to get the fog light bulbs out of their stock assembly so I can swap them with these 9005 Sylvania Silverstars I got. I was so impressed with the 9007's in the headlights I had to upgrade the fog lights. My truck is at the dealer now and I'll get it back tonight. Thanks fellas
I haven't swapped out my fogs yet, but I've heard it's easiest to remove the grill (which has four or five screws at the top and some clips at the bottom).
If you don't have a front license plate frame on the truck you can reach the fog lights thru the bumber as well. Removing the grill is the easiest way if you do have the front frame on.
Yeah, what Greg250 said. But u can also reach around the plate frame if u got skinny arms. The grill idea sounds good to me. Wonder y I never thought of that.........
turn the bulb with the wiring still attached clock wise to loosen. I just replaced my bulbs and was wondering how to take them out also. It did feel like i was going to break the bulb when i was removing them though.
I have a front plate on my 04 and couldn't get my hands in far enough from underneath so I removed the Grill and did them,, took about 10-15 total,, real easy to do,, about 4-5 screws on top and 4 clips or so along the bottom of the grill.. luckly I did this before I mounted by pushbar other wise would have been a pain,,
Does anyone know how to remove the front license plate frame? Looks like some type of plastic fasteners but I don't want to force the issue without knowing what they are.
