1996 Explorer EB Rearview Mirror

Ok, i just bought my 1996 explorer EB, everything seems t be great but i noticed that i don't have the rearview mirror that controls the headlights it came with a regular rearview. a while back i had bought a rearview mirror with the compass and temp display on the mirror for a 1992 explorer but i never got to intall it. i was thinking of intalling it, but friends that have a 1996 explorer ed says, i should go with the original factory rearview mirror that controls the head lights..

where can i get the replacement mirror for my 1996 explorer ED with daylight headlights control feature......for cheap..i don't want to goto the dealer for this...

I wasn't being smart, I was serious. Have you tried any auto salvage yards yet for the mirror?

Junk Yards i tried with no luck...is there any other place i should look for like after market parts???

Check ebay. There was the exact unit you are looking for listed yesterday. I don't know when the sale is done. Search on ebay for "Ford Explorer Mirror". These things come up for sale all the time...

I would go onto eBay, seen alot of these mirrors lately.
