To take a line from the movie Shrek..........."do ya think he's compensating for something?" It's the only reason I can think of as to why someone would want to buy an H2.
They get even worse gas mileage than Bubba! Ugly, too. An attorney friend of mine just got one but he's a nice guy so I still talk to him. Had to give him some grief about it, though.

My boss had one that was in the shop 7 times in 8 months. He only had it for 8 months before trading it back in for a Lightning.
He got stuck in a massive snowbank with it once, his buddy has a lifted dodge and he couldn't even budge that hummer. I come to the rescue in my F-150 and about 15-20 yanks later he's out. That was fun!
Up here in the NJ/NY area they are the main "Hey, look at me " status symbol. Amazing how people are willing to lay out so much $$ for the P.O.S. that it is. The Next step down from that is an Escalade with those dumb *** big rims on it.
i agree it is defently a discrace to the name! the H3 is even worse!! smaller yet. the only thing i am hoping is that it will keep the hummer name going so more real hummers can be built.
With the money that these yuppies are spending on their H2s, they could have bought a used Hummer and gotten twice the truck (and probably twice the attention).
Well..I think a lot of people try to compair the H1 and H2. They are different vehicles, the H1 is way more of a off road only vehicle, it's not very comfortable to drive on a daily basis, some people don't realise that it's a foot and 1/2 wider than a dualie pickup, thats big. They cost about 80 grand new, and whos going to go wheelin with an $80,000 truck, not many. Even used they are still expensive. The H2 was designed to be a much more street friendly vehicle, and GM/Hummer has sold a lot of them (at 60k each mind you). So I don't think they did a bad job marketing and creating this vehicle, it's just something that most of us on FTE don't like. Remember, different strokes for different folks.
Lets remember the languange guidelines as well please.
GM did wonders with marketing the H2, mainly because people think it has the same characteristics as the H1. It does have the Hummer name and Hummer look afterall, it was the best marketing gimmic I can think of. All it is is a Tahoe with different skin. That is why it is a disgraze to the true Hummer name.
