The concept power wagon was nice but it ran off some exotic hydrogen diesel fuel. Dodge made a 180 from the concept they had to this BS. Sad part is both of these trucks are covered in plastic. Where will thiese 'half composite' trucks be 50 years from now?
Look at what they did to the name Hemi! I wouldn't expect anything less from Dodge, a company that has to resort to names that they used decades ago just to sell vehicles to the uninformed public.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
GTO
Impala
GT40
Thunderbird

The Dodge Power Wagon was not always a 1 ton 4x4 military truck. Power Wagon's were were build up to the mid 80's as either a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton 4x4 built.
It is kind of crappy to disgrace an older name by putting it on new stuff when the new stuff doesn't back up what the name implies. It's a sell-out, having to use older names when that's the only similarity between the vehicles.

Does that also go for the new GT, Mustang Mach1, Boss, Impala(sp) I could even argue that my F250 is just a shadow of older 250s of the late 60s all through the 70s. Or are your Blue Oval blinded eyes only picking on Dodge? Or does the "sell-out" count for all auto makers.
