Hi-- Thanks for not giving up on me. I now see the confusion. I am not the original poster c_buck. I am c_burtt (sounds similar doesn't it?) I was doing an internet search on key codes and found this page, so I posted here too. I thought you were only talking about Sport Tracs (didn't realize what EB was.) So sorry to confuse you. I have a 2001 Sport Trac that's in a million tiny little pieces now (lol). If I didn't think the dealer charge of 75 bucks was such a ripoff- I'd just give up and go to see him. But it just seems wrong to charge an hour's worth of labor for something that takes 5 or 10 minutes. Thanks much. Cindy B.
Thank you all for trying to help a "car-challenged" female. Now here's the good news. I had gone through my sixteen million purses and old wallets to try to find the keypad code. Up until today I had NO LUCK. Today when I was doing some organizing, I found one lone purse that I had forgotten about. Now tucked inside the wallet, was the key code to the Ford. That's what happens when you turn the big FOUR-OHHHHH. Things don't work the way they used to. So, I will never know where the code is hidden on my car, but I will definitely keep the code someplace safe from now on. You all have been wonderful, and sorry that I troubled you. Thanks again. Happy New Year.
Cindy
No trouble at all. Glad you found the card. Here's a helpful hint: write down the master number from that card on a sticker (like a computer-printable label) and apply it to the inside of your glovebox, or maybe under the hood. That way, if you should lose the card again, at least you'll have a record of the number in a place you can't lose it! And Happy New Year to you, too!
Bless your heart. I was expecting to get "cyber-scolded" for being such a dummy. That's what I get for buying so many purses. This really is a great forum. I will write down the key code and put it in my glovebox just as you suggested AND I'm bookmarking this forum too.
I AM kinda wondering though what it is with women that they need a bazillion purses...isnt one enough????
I mean I only have one wallet and that's enough for me.
Doesn't one black purse pretty much go with anything? lol
I'd ask the wife why she needs more purses but she might hit me with her's and I think she keeps bricks in it.
I don't think it's bricks. I think it's all your money in there!! Actually I may be coming around to your side. I'm trying to consolidate my things. Too much stuff is stressing me out . All is I need is my Sport Trac (and my mountain bike.... and my dogs... snd my keypad code....)
I'll bet this is a problem rarely found among other FTE members! I know it's not a problem for me! And before anyone else says it: one little black purse goes fine with all my dark suits!
I've been looking around for this answer all over the place(I have a 2003). I finally gave up on the web and tried myself. I looked in the rear compartment with no luck, so I started under the dash. You have to open the glove compartment all of the way (push in sides and extend all of the way down). You should see the 4x4cm(control module) on the left side of the blower housing, it has a white sticker labelling it as such. If you look carefully just to the left of the module, the code is molded into the plastic looking you right in the eye. It is not a sticker, which is what i was looking for. This should only take about 1-2 minutes so don't tear anything apart until you try this. I hope this will help someone.
This happens to be an old thread, however stick around and someone will be by to answer your question.
We are happy you have chosen the best source for Fords!

I am looking for my pass code also. I would imagine that the 02 and 03 model are about the same. There is a white stick on mine, although i do not have a flashlight to look at it clearly. Is the passcode on the white label or close by the white sticker?
I have been following this thread and I have a 94 Explorer EB Edition. I bought It Used and It did not come with a keyless remote. I have read and been told that the EB Edition came with keyless entry. How do I find out? I have checked the drivers side back panel and I have read the manual which says the keyless entry Is In a kick panel on the drivers side by the fuse panel.
Were do I need to look and what am I looking for? To know that I have keyless entry and If so to get the codes?
