'94 Explorer Fuel Gauge
The fuel gauge on my 94 Explorer just went from 3/4 full to empty. It then went back up to a normal reading the same day after it had been parked a few times. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Unplugged the connector going to the tank and re connected it. Haven't had the problem for years after that. Problem is, if the connector is unplugged the meter should go to full. Only thing that brings it to empty electrically is a short. 15 ohms empty and 170 ohms full. So it happened and I have no way to explain it. Usual problem is the float gets a leak and never goes to full again.
