Is anyone having a problem with the air in their Expy not blowing cold? I have it set on 60 degrees and blowing high and it's not getting cold in my truck at all. It's 90 degrees here, sunny and humid. Could it be too hot outside? My husband says it feels like it's blowing 70 degrees. I don't want to call the dealer and them tell me "oh, it's too hot outside that's why it's not blowing cold." Anyone else? Thanks!!
If it's on Max AC then it's recirculating conditioned interior air and outside temp shouldn't have much to do with it.....now if it were 120 degrees outside it would be a different story.

That's what I have it on, max and recirculating. I guess I should call my dealer to bring it in. <sigh>
Just had my 03' EB "C" build date in for the same thing. Bought truck last June and never any A/C problems. This year the first time I went to use it (93 degree day of course) it blew warm.
Turns out the entire system was EMPTY of freon. They could not find any obvious leaks and refilled and added dye. I have to use and see what happens and the dye will tell them where the leak is.
They did say that they have seen some that actually come from the factory empty but this is not the case here as I used it last year.
Not much help to you but interesting that all of a sudden yours is dead too.

oh wow! I bought mine last July and didn't have problems with the a/c either. I have an appt. to bring it in on Monday. I'll be away so my hubby will be bringing it in (they will not like that since he has a big mouth LOL). Hopefully there is a problem and that it can be fixed. My hubby will not accept the "we can't find anything wrong with it" answer. He will go crazy!!
Oh you poor souls, I feel your pain. Check out older posts for a/c problems on 03's. I and a few others had Ford replace our 03's with 04's because they were unable to fix the a/c issue. I will try to find the old posts but for starters you need to get your trucks to the dealer to start the paper trail. You will end up using the Dispute Resalution Board and/or your states lemon law. It is a long process but in the end you will get a 04 out of it.

of course my DH brought the truck in yesterday and the A/C was working. My dh says before he got there, while at a light, he felt something "kick in", like a vibration, and then after that it worked fine, so Ford didn't check it out. My dh called me to tell me this and I told him to bring it back to them and have them look at it!!!! The rear A/C was blowing hot last week. Something is NOT RIGHT.
It's too late to lemon law it since this is my first problem with it and I just hit 18K miles on it They better find what's wrong with it. I have had it with this truck.
Just had mine in for the third time (this time with the new 03 TSB) on this subject. They had the truck for almost a week and I haven't been able to see if it's definitely fixed yet as it hasn't been hot enough.
I had the AC problem. I live in Fla. and from time to time the aC would blow hot humid air for appr. 30 sec..
Brought it to dealer, and the replaced the evaporator. It's been fine since.
My dh brought it back to them while I was away. He said it was low on freon. Of course they couldn't find the leak. DH says it seems to be working fine so we shall see.
You mean having my dh bringing it in instead of me? I was in Minnesota (I live on Long Island, NY)with my boys because my one son attended a hockey goalie camp. The only available appt the dealer had was last week (while I was away), so DH had to take it for me. I hope that was what you meant by "designated hitter". If not, now you know what I did last week and clue me in.
So far the air feels ok, for now. I'll keep you all posted.
