Check fuses first. Then check the relays behind the passenger side kick panel. Then the 4x4 motor on the T-case. The motor is notorious for getting dirty then not working. Take is out and clean it. As for the others, get a wiring diagram and start trouble shooting from the switch if the fuse is OK.

he didn't post a website :-)

it's one of those wonderful parts of a free forum website. In order to keep it free for the users, they need sponsors. This particular forum software parses our posts and does many things, in this case it put a link under a keyword combination. That link takes you to one of the sponsor sites.

anyway, when you say that the pushbutton 4x4 isn't working, do you mean that pushing the button has no effect? like, the light doesn't come on, you don't hear that 'clicking' noise of the relays, etc? or do you mean that it just doesn't engage? Do you have manual locking hubs or automatic?

ok, well if you are not getting any lights or sounds, you have an electrical problem. Check fuses first, as your problem is most likely there. Also check all the wiring around the relays, look for a short. It's probably a blown fuse, but there's got to be a reason that fuse blew.

BTW, Good job on switching to warn premiums :-)

Mark to answer your question about can the xfer case be switched to a manual.... yes it can. you would need to cut a hole in the floor though for the shifter. i have a 89 bronco with a BW 13-56 manual in it. i don't think there should be any other mods. what xfer case does your truck have. It probably has the BW13-56 Electronic

a bw 1356 man should slip right in with just a hole cut in the floor for the gear shift
