Your battery problem could be related to a bad battery or that sizzling you heard around the fuses when you tried to start it caused a short that is causing you to have a constant drain. Either way, take a known good battery with you next trip into the jungle. As far as getting it from the boonies to the towing territory, ask around for some assistance from someone local that has a capable 4X4 that is willing to drag you to better ground. Use a logging chain placed through a length of iron pipe and attatch to one of your frame rails. Steering will be difficult, but not as bad as you think when its rolling. Braking will be the tow vehicle's responsibility. Very little slack in the chain and the iron pipe will keep you off the pulling vehicle's rear. Can be a little rough on the neck though. Good luck! One word of advise from someone that's been there: Let the tow vehicle's owner connect the chain to his own vehicle. If he looses a bumper, you want it to be his fault that he attached it to it, not yours.

Thank you so much! from what i was told is ... the computer is under the dash inside the truck! which wasnot under water! TO ALL OF YOU GUYS THAT HAD HELPED W/YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!! i WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW..I GOT HER RUNNING!!! THERE ARE LITTLE THINGS HERE AND THERE BUT... THE ENGINE SOUNDS FINE AND AFTER CHANGING THE TRANNY FLUIDS 3X'S.. SHE SHIFTS GREAT, NEED TO REPLACE SOME BREAK LINES AND THE FUEL FILTER!! SHE IS GOOD TO GO!!

[QUOTE=mike93]excellent!! that is great news. now, keep the truck for your self and go throw the boyz out in that water hole and let them sit in it overnite[/QUO
Great idea!!!.....
better yet.... I will show them how its really done!!!! lololol I'll remember to lock the hubs lololol KIDS!!!
I ran into an issue again! she was on the road a very short time... I have run into what i think is going to be an very big expense! i need suggestions again.. the front seal of the tranny is leakiing,( dripping) do you think its the pressure from the water causing it ... and just get it power flushed? or do i have to replace the seal itself. and what am I looking at cost wise????? It was feeling so good too!! DAMMMM I have changed the fluids in the tranny 3x's. its not as dark as it should be, still signs of water. It never had this problem before (leaking or even dripping).. only since i have changed the fluids... Im so sad!? I changed both front and rear differentials, break lines, fuel lines, rear axle seal wheel cylinder bla bla bla...Im sooo dissapointed
Heres the scoop and i know because i live in a ouston flood area. If tis engingine was turned over at all, yoy must do two things first, drain out the tourque convertor, next drainout the whole rear differenttial, make sure the batttery cables are tight at th starter and ground at the block, then put grease on them@@@@@.....Then pulll all fuses and reqlys ad spray penetratng oil in theslots, agfter that you shoul be okay. If you don't do these rings, in a couple of years tou willl start having problems, BTW if the torque conver dosnt have a drain hole, then drilll one init, the have a machine shop innstall threades in the holr amd screw a small plug back in it. Then simply pan drain the left over fluid, and refilll it. I am very aware of this typething and getflood cars all the time, we runa Garagel.......Janet
everthing has worked in the truck so far!! it all dried out, I have flushed the tranny 3x's myself, the engine sounds great! i have drain the front and rear differentials, engine oil etc. it was after i had drained the tranny that it started leaking out of the front seal! it never did that before,,, someone told me if i have the tranny power flushed it may or may not help with the leak! then i am in for a costly expense, which i was trying to avoid! since you run a garage, what would it cost for a front seal change??? i have gotten prices form 400~600$ does that sound about right? thanks for your response! ~~ Sue
GOd that is cheap... around here everyone has told me between 500~ 700. i did have the tranny flushed and it seemed to have help a great deal the seal is dripping slowly instead of streamming out! i bought sdome conditioner to see if that will hold up for awhile! keeping my fingers crossed!.. thanks again
