Was it really neccessary to put Neither instead of RegCab? It is the only other option
I did think of that after I started the thread/poll. Oh well.... I guess niether covers "no truck at all". Although that doesn't make much sence, this being a truck forum.
I ordered a SCAB, 133" wheelbase. I already have a family mobile in the minivan and wanted a personal "sport" truck. I can still carry my two kids in the back.
I have a 78 Scab and had an 80 Scab best friend has a 95 crew all with 8' beds (is anything else realy a truck?) I hate the full doors and extra 18" of the crew cabs. They imho look dumb and on the new trucks you get 4 doors anyway. My biggest complaint applies to both of the extended cabs. Where the hell do you put stuff???? My maps and other junk that lived behind the seat of my reg cab have nowhere to go. My 80 had the jump seats in the back so most of the time one stayed folded and my toolbox lived on the floor in front of my daughters feet. With the scabs seats folded you get a nice cargo floor. the crew dosn't have anything but the floor in front of the seat.
Hi All. Truth be known, I originally was looking at SCrew's on Ford's website for my purchase. I really like the look of the 4-full door with short bed. But I went to my local dealer (Dub Miller/Rosenberg, Texas) and they had a monochrome black 5.4 FX4 SCab in stock that I really fell for. I took several trips to the dealer over the Christmas holiday to see if I wanted to buy from the gut and not from emotion, and I laid the money down right after Christmas. I did have Buyers Remorse after only 500 miles (based on looks, not performance) but now I am completely sold on my truck.
I mean, I LOVE IT. She's a beaut!
I bought an ExTang soft tonneau and my future mods will include a short lift, new wheels, and side bars. I'll be searching the archives for previous posts on these, for sure.
I'm new here. In fact this is my first post. But I'm looking forward to reading all the tech advice you guys have and the mods that you do.
I have a 2004 F-150 FX4 SCrew 5.4 ... and i had no problems hauling what i needed to..( 10 Bails of Alfalfa).. i had helped out a Dodge that had dropped half the load and about the only problem i had was it sucked the gas out of my tank. (because i was going up a mountain)
for me the supercab is better on the eyes, and the back is not a cramped as some would think, for my kids it's great because up until their 6 or 7 they will be in car seats anyway, plus I get an extra foot for hauling in the back.
