Well, I fixed my trucks’ noise. My truck has had a noise on the front of the motor for a long time. Ford diagnosed a tensioner pulley gone bad. I replaced the idler pulley, tensioner, and the belt. These parts were crappy. I think the bearings in both pulleys were shot. Each new part got the noise a little quieter till it was gone. I also cleaned my MAF, throttle body, and installed a new Idle Air Control Valve. These were pretty dirty. I cleaned up my motor and got it looking brand new. I really want an induction kit but I don’t like the high price of a K&N FIPK. I found a MAC Induction kit that is half the price on motorhaven for my 3.0. http://www.motorhaven.com/customer/s...ing=ranger+3.0 Wonder how good they are? My little motor is doing just fine for 114,000 miles. Beside the average maintenance, I have only replaced my alternator and wheel bearing/hub assembly (98 PVH). I plan on rolling on for many miles with this truck.
