installed some upgrades

I finally installed a few upgrades for my 98 Ranger B4000 lol(its a mazda). I added a MAC cold air intake and a Gibson 2.5" SS cat back. Didn't add any low end, but defanately added some top end. Sounds great too. almost like a V8, instead of all these little bumble bee in a coffee can things kids are putting on these days. When the $$$ gets back up to par I'm going to get a Diablo Delta chip. Hopefully it will help the low end grunt a bit more, and make better use of the avalable power. Anybody else using the Diablo Delta with a 4.0? I'd like to hear your thoughts about it.

Is the Gibson quiet enough at 65 mph? It would be nice to know if your mpg goes up.

just cruising along it's not much louder than stock. I'm sure the mpg will be somewhat better, because I have noticed that the RPM's are lower at highway speeds. I'll let you know sometime this week what I get. Either way, it won't be that great since I'm running 33x12.50 tires.

How do you like the MAC Induction? I was thinking about the K&N FIPK but I think it has a plastic tube where the MAC has a metal one....true?? Plus, the K&N is too much moola.

well, for some reason the metal tube didn't fit right on my truck, so I wasn't able to use it . Gonna put some heat shield insulation around the tube to make up for it though . I had to order the part for a 98 ranger 4.0 since nothing is hardely ever listed for my mazda. I don't know if that was the issue or because i have a body lift or what. Either way I like it! Sounds great and a noticable difference in power. Nothing to brag about, but noticable. I would stay away from K&N. I dont' know from personal experience, but I've heard some very knowladgable people say the K&N's let alot more dirt in with the extra air. But that's only hear say.
