Hi all,
I was browsing the summit catalog on line and saw some Offenhauser manifolds for our 390's. They have high risers as well as dual 4 barrels. Anybody seen them or used them?
there a good intake thats been along for a while. a couple of guys around here are running them. i believe that offenhauser is the only company thats still makes the dual quad set up for the fe motor.
Well, I just got a brand new summit catalog today and did not see any offenhauser intakes for a Fe ford anywhere, But as far as my opinion, I would not ever run a offenhauser intake again!!! I had a Ford 390 Gt intake and traded for a 360 dual plane offenhauser and actually lost power!! It was a great low end torque intake, but for top end horsepower it @#$%! My edelbrock is doing me just fine know!!!!
I thought they quit making the FE manifolds though. I knew they made others. This is cool. I don't know if I would get one over the victor but at least the option is there.
Has anyone here ran the Offenhauser 360 Degree Dual Quad High-Rise Intake Manifolds? At 419.00 They look pretty good. They say it starts working at 1800rpm and go all the way to 8000rpm. No I am not going to run that high a rpm on my 390 but it seems to have a broad range.
Offenhauser has a history of making completely outrageous claims. I am looking at buying one for my buddies 300 I6 and they claim a 50HP increase with no other mods. There are guys that race with that offy FE manifold and swear by it so it probably isn't too bad.
What about the OFY-607P from page 9.
Is the dual port design any good or just a crock?
AL.
Edit: OK! how'd that happy face get into the part number?
OFY-607P
