Well, Thanks to this thread, I clicked the link and now I guess I have "officially" joined the chapter.
Although I've been frequenting the boards since the begginning of the year.
I just bought my truck in January ('88 Ext Cab 5.8 351w 4X4 Shortbed), but I've been wrenching on my Dad's '86 Reg Cab 302 2wd Longbed for over 10 years. (Two engine rebuilds, one engine/Tranny swap and it's going better than ever.)
So Far Mine needed a lot of TLC, an alternator, a set of lifters, and a big garbage can for all the spare parts that came out of the engine bay.
It too is running like a top.
Looking forward to a road trip in the truck next week up to the Orlando Area. Taking the Jetboat up to hang out with friends from another forum (www.yamahajetboaters.com).
hopefully at some point we'll have a get-together somewhere in the middle to bottom half of the state.
WELCOME to the chapter David!! we are gonna set up meetings so we can all get together and hang out....come on by and chat with us when you get a chance
