I'm curious myself. Seems like a good product, but I'd like to see what others that have tried it think. Give it a few months and I might be the guenie pig.

I hang out on diesel forums a lot, and though these aren't scientific findings, it seems that I've heard of a disproportionate number of people that have Edge programmers with EGT issues. There might be a bejillion Edge owners out there having no problems at all, but the people that are having EGT issues seem to have a high concentration of Edge programmers.

Thanks I was real close to buying one yesterday then I found this forum its great and full of lots of killer info.I was doing a crane job yesterday and had a guy tell me that he had a 02' psd with the superchip programer and his engin caught on fire the dealer tryed to tell him it was the chip.

He also said that on a trip to california running the scmt his turbo failed of course in both cases he was towing and using the tow safe mode. in any case he said took the scmt out and no problems at all.

I'll go out on a limb here, and guess he didn't have gauges, eh?

I have the predator and I love it. I run the 60 Hp mode most of the time and the tow safe for my TH. I haven't had any problems with mine.

Basically - no matter what brand of chip or tuner you get - it is possible to damage your truck if you don't use it wisely!! Most likely that guy wouldn't have told you if he was doing something that might hurt the truck 'cause then he'd look like an a$$ - so I don't know.... You need to have gauges and get used to watching them and you should be good to go. With all my mods and sensible driving I have yet to have a problem - but if I "drove it like I stole it" for a day I know I could do some serious damage. It might not show up that day or the next but it would still be done. Alright - enough preaching.... Enjoy your mods responsibly!!

I have the Edge Evolution and love it. I don't have any issues with EGT unless I'm being really stupid and trying to pass everyone on a grade. Mileage is up on all settings and the power and smoke are awesome. I'd highly recommend it but definately get the gauges first!!
