I hate to say it, but I think that is the fastest you can go due to the speed governor. I think there are ways are get around it (which I'm not aware of) but it's possible other components (like the tires) can't handle a speed higher than 110mph from what I've heard (remember, it's not a stang or lightning). Hope this helps

Your speed limiter is set somewhere around 108 or 109mph. The best way to get rid of the limiter is to buy a chip for your X. Depending on the PCM Code, you can raise the limiter way beyond any limit your X will come close to.

mgazak also is correct about your setup on the X - tires, other mods, etc. Even with everything I added, if I had not bought a Diablo chip, I would just be getting to 108mpg quicker...

Check in the Computer Chip Forum and talk to Ken (aka webmaster). He can set you up and let you know what can be done. Also check out this boards sister site:

I think you will find Ken is very reasonable on his chips...

Good Luck!!!

Can you let us know what town and streets you race on? I would like to keep my wife and children as far away from there as possible. I would like to spend as much time with my wife as possible and see my kids grow up.

Thanks

I'm pretty certain that the X's speed limtier is actually 113 MPH, since I hit 110 once, and had pedal to go, and was still able to accelerate. You should really see some of the backroads we have in Texas. There seriously isn't a single soul for miles
