please help me

My 99 f250 psd batt light has started coming on it will stay on for a few sec then flicker off then it may or may not come back on. My batt and alt test fine.
Can any one help me?

It sounds like your brushes are worn out. Pretty soon the brushes will lose contact with the armature and then the light will not go out.

alternater

i had trouble with my alternater once. everything would work fine below about 1800 rpm above that the alt would quit charging all together. drove it that way for about a month before i bought a new alt. replaced it in about 15 min in the autozone parking lot. been running fine for the last 50k
