Unhappy clutch help

i am trying to replace clutch on 94 f250 7.3 idi turbo with luk smf... how do you remove slave cylinder? and what is a good synthetic trans/transfer case fluid to use??and by the way what is best sca to add????

Does the slave still have the white nylon retainer on the rod? You need to compress the rod and hook the two ends of the retainer into the little notches on the end of the cylinder. Then use a screwdriver to unhook the metal clip that keeps the cylinder on the bellhousing and slide it out. Hope that makes sence. If it doesn't, maybe the 94 uses a different system.

The '94 still uses the same system but I've seen a few where ppl throw that little retainer away. Even if it's not there you should still be able to close it enough on the shift fork to pop it loose from the clip like spectramac said.
