1989 Ford Ranger
I have a friend who owns a 1989 Ford Ranger. This isn't any normal Ranger either. He has dropped a 1995 F-150 fuel injected Ford Lightning motor 351 Windsor (5.8L) under the hood. This truck burns BMWs on the highway, it is great. I love his truck, in fact, it is how we met. I was the cool girl with a Jeep and he was the sweet guy with a killer truck, the rest is history. So I figured I would tell everyone once again that the 'ol country song is right. Girls do like a pick-up man!
There is some bad news. He needs money to put a down payment on his first house and has decided to sell the Ranger. I am crushed. It is such a fun toy, haha. But there is good news. He wants to buy a F-350 Superduty after he saves some more money, so I guess I'll keep him around for a while longer.
If anyone has done the same type of engine swap to a Ford Ranger, let me know. I'd like to show my friend what other people have done and I'm sure you would have some stories to share!
