Here's a pic of my air intake. Notice that the MAF unit it now actually part of the intake tube itself. I would like to upgrade to a K&N, Volant, or a AF1 complete intake system when they become available for the 2004's. Question is, now it looks like I'll end up having to go with a aftermarket MAF unit as well, since the stock one can't be removed!!! What's some of your takes on this situation?

Can't see the pic, you need to upload it to your Gallery first.
But I have to think that, if someone makes an Air Intake Kit for your '04 at some point, then they are going to have to take the MAF situation into account regarding design. So why not sit back and let them sweat it out?
My guess is that the new intake kits will come with their own MAF.
