'95F-150 tranny fried?

'95F-150 tranny fried?
First time poster here.
1995 F-150 5 speed floor shift.
Had trouble last few days with it wanting to slip out of 2nd or grind when trying to shift into 2nd. Now today it will go into all gears but will not let engage 3rd, 4rth 5th or reverse.
Can run truck only in first and can shift to 2nd gear position now but even tho in 2nd the first gear is what is moving the truck. All others gears are now void.
Question: I have an 1989 F-150 parts truck with 5 speed floor shift. I understand they were made with two trannies, a Mazda and a ZF model.
I was wondering what markings on the tranny to look for to see if the '89 tranny will work in the '95 truck.
Having no vehicle is a drag.
