94 explorer locking hubs
hello
im replacing the rotors and brakes on my 94 explorer 4x4. the auto locking hub has quite a bit of grease and crud in it. not all the way to the end where the spline goes, thats pretty clean but the engagement mech is really grimy. i already cleaned the other half that goes on the bearing locking nut and plan to coat it lightly with grease but im not sure how to clean the half of the engaging mech in the hub. im thinking of using solvent and a brush to get the grim out then soaking the hub with atf. im worried about washing the lube out of the bearing in the end. any help will be appreciated.
