well i went mudding for the first time since i blew my engine.... and holy crap it was fun. i took my bronco out and my friend took his new f-150 and we went out to a field and had some fun. i was just wanting to see some of your guys trucks after you went mudding.... i posted my pics in my gallery. well i got to go to work.
One of the bigger PIA I have are people who decide to go "mudding" on the rural (dirt) roads around my place (and some fields) and tear the Hell out of everything. Then half the time they come crying to my back door wanting a free pull.
Hey cookie, what part of OK are you from? I'm originally from Eastern OK, Spiro... and there are tuns of places to get stuck... I mean, go mudding out there. When I get Big Blue back together we'll have to have a trail run somewhere.
Mudding is addicting so long as you dont break any thing lol. There are some pics of my truck muddin in my gallery at a place called Marshel Creek in Denton TX.
I've heard of marshal creek I think... I thought that was just set up for ATV's and Dirt Bikes though. Can you run your 4X4's in there too... if so I'll have to check it out.
Yeap you can run 4x4's there too. Its somethin like $3 for ATV/bike and $5 for trucks, or close to it I cant remember. Alot of people bring their trucks there, its alot of fun. You can go anywhere your truck will allow lol. Just watch out for others cause you share with atv's and bikes.
i live in norman right now.... going to school. are you currently living in denton? because i plan on coming down to krum in the next month or so and i am sure we can find somewhere to go. i also live in yukon and it was a blast because we had a couple guys with land out there and we would go have fun.
wezol,
mudding is very addictive... last time i went i blew my engine because i was an idiot and decided to take on the flooded road.... it went all the way across and was about 25 feet long.... come to find out when you get water in your engine you can bend a rod. i guess thats what i get for going down that road and landing in the tractor ruts... the water was so high that when i opened my door i had a quarter of an inch till it would of started coming in. well back to work i go.
Been there man, water is the worst if you get stranded in it. I did about the same thing in my old B2. Yeah, were in Denton now... the Bronco is up at the Farm in OK and I still and haven't had a chance to fix my transfer case yet so it's just a 2 wheel drive for now. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get back to GA soon and pick up my explorer, I haven't had a chance to get it in anything serious yet becuase I haven't had anyone to go with in a while and I would like to see how it does... and I hate walking. Drop me a line when you get ready to go, hopefully I'll have something working here by then. I want to check out that place that wezol5484 was talking about, looked like it was giving those rovers a hard time so I bet it would be fun.
wow i just realized that i posted this in the wrong forum. i ment to put it in the gen. disc.... well what do you expect it was 5 in the morning and i was still half asleep.
i know what you mean about walking.... it sucks. thats mainly why i have never done much, because i am afraid i will be stuck in the middle of nowhere and end up having to walk. that place that wezol5484 sais looks like it would be a lot of fun... who knows maybe we could get a couple of guys from Tx or Ok and go out there some time.
also if a moderater sees this will you please move it to the general discussion board... thanks
A bunch of us went out mudding, and had several casualties during the day. First, one of my friends snapped his upper control arm on his jeep cherokee, sidelining him for the day. Then A U joint went in my other friends Jeep Wrangler, he had to drive home in four wheel drive on a highway (enter giggle here). Then another guy tried to take his Kawasaki 250 through our mini pond and sucked up about ten pounds of mud in his engine (we tore it apart that night). Then another guy was hauling A$$ in a Polaris Ranger, went over a dip and the front end slammed into the ground, causing him to break his nose. He did however previously clear a twenty foot table top jump with the thing. My Ranger however, slammed through the mud, climbed the hills and went through irrigation ditches. Damage? I got mud on my clean carpet... Check out the Minotaur Gallery for action pics in the mud.
