I have the Ford F-150 SuperCrew FX4 with the 6-Disc in dash CD player, but not the AudioPhile system. I'd like to add a decent amount of bass (enough so that I can feel it, but not enough so that traffic next to me knows what song is playing).
1) Would adding one 8" or one 10" subwoofer and an amp provide this?
2) Can this be done without drilling or otherwise permenantly modifying the truck?
3) If I add a subwoofer, will the stock speakers be adequate for treble or will the overall sound be muddy?
4) Are you better off having someone like Sound Advice custom build a box or orderning one from someplace like http://www.subbox.net/?
5) Is the overall improvement in sound quality by adding a sub worth it?
6) What about just replacing the factory speakers (Can you get bass from speakers that size)?
