Okay I finally got my Autometer Boost Guage in after it was backordered and installed it about a week ago. I have been running the trans temp and pyro for many weeks now. This is jumping the gun but I only saw 8lb's of boost at full throttle with the superchips set on the performace mode. Im changing out the line tomorrow. I have a 3.5" downpipe and 4" past that. I have tested the intake by removing the filter totally and driving it for a quick pass and the same boost numbers. First I installed it in the Map Line and I saw 0 boost. Then I tapped the Y intake and saw 8lbs of boost. The truck seems to run very well so my question is what would cause low boost numbers. If after changing out the line tomorrow I still see the same numbers than I am stumped. I checked the intake tubes and everything is tight. I pulled off one of the boost tubes right before it goes into the Y intake and it had allot of exhaust flowing through it with the engine on. Is this normal? If not could this be caused by a bad seal in the turbo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Check the line where You teed into it as it may have a leak there. Also look to see if maybe the line is kinked or pinched any where running to the gauge. Do you hear the turbo spool up? Sounds as if you do so the turbo is working but as I said I would look at the gauge hose to see if it is either kinked or leaking.
Yea it sounds to me like the pressure isn't getting to the gauge - 'cause if you were really only getting 8psi at WOT, I think you'd not be happy with the performance and be seeing a lot of black smoke with the tuner on there. Like FireRooster said - double check any connections to the gauge for leaks or kinks anywhere. And make sure the compression fittings on your lines running to the gauge aren't turned too tight 'casue they can almost squeeze the line shut if you go to nuts on them. Let us know how you make out.
I can here the turbo spool up. I ran compressed air through it set at 25psi on the compressor and it went to 27 on the guage so it does not sound kinked. I have compression fittings on both sides of the line. Im changing out the line tomorrow just to double check. Lets just say it is only 8lbs of boost were do I look next? Also should I have allot of exhaust comming through the intake tubes as I do now. Let me know. Thanks

Sounds like you over tightened the compression fittings
I sure hope so. I cut and reinstalled them both 2 times and still got the same readings. I got 0 PSI when I had the T fitting on the Map line and that didnt have a compression fitting on it. Seeing that I used compressed air to check it and it went up easily Im a little worried. Has anyone ever had a bad guage.
