revised programming,improved waterpump,HD torque converter and misc trans improvments,revised injectors.
I have 115,000 miles on my 97 F-250 and I really love it. a crew cab would be nice though.

Thanks for the info, sounds like the 97 has a lot of updates less the new body style. And thats a matter of taste as to which one is better, I lean towards the old style. It looks like a Ford. The PS I'm looking at has 45,000 miles- just barely broke in.

Hey 97,diesel, i have a 97 f-350 C/C diesel and i love it. The thing about the 99 and 00 models they had several problems in them but not all of them. see the same parts and everything in the 97 diesels have been the same since '94 so they had all the bugs worked out on them. In 99 and 00 they tryed different parts and layouts so since these were the first years they had several problems. so if you decide to buy a 99 or 00 have checked out first and make sure it runs smoothe. Now not all of them have problems, but just be aware or it. just check it out first. I have a friend who just bought a 99 ford f-250 with 64000 miles on it and he had to have the engine rebuilt because of dealer defects. that is what the dealer said so it didnt cost him much. but just be aware sorry for the long reply just wanted you to know
