I agree, the fact that it is not a big deal that the 13 year old is drinking shows some more serious problems...but they do live in AR

My parents did something similar after my brother nearly destroyed the family home with a raging party while my parents were on vacation: bye-bye 1-ton Dodge Dually.

my 15 year old son ran up his cellphone bill to 600+ bucks. he's working for free, cause i'm getting every cent he earns. it just so happen that his phone broke and while i was waiting for the replacement from AT&T, i got his bill. i cancelled the service and sold the new phone on ebay to help pay for his bill. as far as i'm concerned, he don't own nothing but the clothes on his back, everything else is mine: the bed, computer, tv, playstation, etc. (unless it was an xmas gift).

Well..me being the father of a 33 year old man..and two daughters..29 and 28..

I have been thru it all..been there and done that!! I admit I was more lax with my son.. But the girls I left that up to my wife..cause I didnt know how to deal with little lady's..

But the big point hear is that like was said..being ****ed off over the $177 bucks worth of booze!! (not right) Deeper problem here!!

When I was 11..I got into my Dads beer... Just one! He asked me if I liked to drink..
And of course being at that age..and wanted too be like my dad..I said yes!

The following weekend he came home with a bottle of Some cheap wine.1 gal..

He told me.for my punishment ..I have to drink as much of this wine as I can..

Dad was smart..this stuff tasted like Koolade..I drank about half of it..

I had never been so sick..Im in my 50s now.. I didnt drink again til I was in my 20s on my own and in Viet Nam.... Sorry for the long post!! Russ

the phone was originally for both my teen boys (one of the boys was a foster son) to be used to call us for a ride after practice, etc. Foster son gets removed from our home (long story) leaving my son the sole user of the phone. for xmas, he wanted a camera phone. santa brought him one. but the service had to be upgraded. well, he proceeded to abuse it: rigtones $$, games$$, text messaging $$$$$$, going over 250min per month $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. the first time he went over (30 bucks) he got a warning. the second time (25 bucks) a more stern warning. this last time, well, you read my post. he can call us for a ride on our personal 800# or borrow a friends phone (like they used to borrow his).
