Just an 'olgezzer' signing on for the first time. Have really enjoyed reading the posts these last few days. I've been involved building old hotrods since the '60s. Recently was looking for a 3/4 ton truck to pull my car trailer. My son had this Ford for sale, but I was looking for one of those "other" kinds, I'm a Chevy guy, or I was a Chevy guy. Couldn't find one, so I bought the kids, he referred to it as a 'mans' truck, yeh, yeh, right! Well he was right, I just love the dang thing. Its a 1976 F250 Ranger XLT 4x4, 390 4v,aluminum intake. Pulled the 360 2v, built a balanced and blueprinted 390 with a Mallory Comp 9000 ignition, Dana 60 rear, 4.10 with the Dana 44 front axle. Put headers on it with Flowmasters and 2 1/2 inch exhaust. Its just a blast to drive, sounds like a Top Fuel car when its fired up. If anyone tells my Chevy friends I'll just deny all this. Lots of good info on this site for USFORDGUYS
