Is there anyone using 315/75/16 on stock rims with a leveling kit? I was told that the tires will rub the front springs? If so, what tires should be ok with stock rims and a level kit?
I was talking to a guy in the wally world parking lot the other day.....he had 315's on the stock rims with no leveling kit....said they only rubbed on the inner fender a bit.
My next set of tires will be 315's (285's now) will only level if it's necessary.
i had 33" bfg all terrain t/a ko's on 16x10 rims with a leveling kit on my 01 f-350 psd and they rubbed only on the inner fender but you can screw the bottom of the inner fender in to the running board to keep it from rubbing, thats what we did
Powerstroke162- do you have any pics of your truck? I'm thinking of getting a set of X code springs for the front. Am told should bring it close to level. What leveling kit did you use?
i used the trailmaster leveling kit and shocks and i got that from the local les schwab shop, had to go to commercial tire, another local tire shop, to get the rims and tires. yeah i do have pictures of my truck but i gotta fiqure out how to get them on to my computer cause i dont have a digital camera or scanner, any ideas?
The guy I talked to said that the tires were rubbing on the spring itself, not the inner fender. I dont know if this was just a fluke, or if the 315 will fit well with it leveled. The kit I got said it will fit 35 12.5 tires. I Have seen them on several trucks in parking lots, but have never waited on people to come out and talk. They only come and see why the heck I am crawling under their trucks.
Don't know. The crew cab long bed needs all the turning raidias it can get!!!
it will rub on the if you have the steering hard over, but it will only rub in the back of the leaf spring. if you turn hard left then then the backside of the driverside tire will rub the smallest amount on the back of the spring, but the right side tire dosnt rub on the front of the leaf spring when its hard over to the left. and its just the same when your turning right. i have a 4 door long bed 01 f350 and it never had a turning radius to begin with so it dosnt much matter if you were to lift it

How about....take the negatives to Wal-Mart, have the pics put on a c/d, then bring them home and load them on the hard drive, then upload to the website.
I run 315 75 16 on stock Lariat rims, have a 3.5 level. Tires rub front of springs on a hard turn. Polishes spring, no damage to tires (yet). Takes a bit out of radius, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Some pics in gallery, if you can't see well enough, I can get some more detail shots.
dlevey if your kit says it will clear 35x12.50s then it should clear 315s, they are pretty much metric 35s. See similar setups on a lot of trucks in my area. I run 305s with my leveling kit and on 16x10 eagles there looks like almost enough room for 315s.
