That squeak could be caused by a loose tailgate. The latches are adjustable so you can get the tailgate to seat tightly. This will fix the common tailgate rattle noise and might get the squeak too.
Other squeak sources would include the cab mounts, bed mounts, spring eye bushings, radius arm bushings, transmission mount and door weatherstrips. I'm sure there are more sources, especially in an older truck!
Try spraying these items with some silicone lubricant, Just do one at a time until you find the squeaker.
I use the silicone spray at every oil change to keep ahead of any noise sources. In any case, a squeak or rattle just means that you are driving a truck and not a car....
What . . . . . can't hear ya, this squeek is too loud!
Spend some time under and around the truck (take a rubber mallet with you) test every bolted part.
If you think it's the bed, check the mounting bolts. Are they tight?
Is there anything between the bed and cab? Rubber work boots, trash, etc?
Check muffler & hangers.
the squeak sounds like it coming from directly behing me ill spray it down and get back to you. Also the squeak isnt a little squak it louder than my aftermarket blasting all the way.
Today i loaded my quad into the bed and i moved it around a bit and when i put it only on one side of the bed and u get that body rool of the bed it squeaked. When i was driving down the road and hitting bumbs it didnt squeak should i spray them with silicone or replace them but the bolts are real rusty looks like a pain in the but to replace like maybe an entire weekend project
thank for the sugestion also
Are you referring to the bed bolts?
They can be a real pain if they're rusted to the point of no way your going to loosen them. Spray with penetrating oil for several days in a row.
Might get someone to stand on bolt head while you loosen.
But they're just bolts, no biggie once they're loose.
