Ok, i've been waiting for the 05 updates for a long time and i'm pretty pleased except for the HP on the stroker. What are the chances that Ford will bump up the power to compete with Dodge and GM later in the fall. The last thing I want to do is order an 05 now and get one of the first ones and then 2 months later they jack the HP by 10%. Man I would be ****ed. I don't care about waiting to see if the coils work or other bugs that may need to be worked out, I do care about buying a truck that will last 5 years and if I would have waited 2 months I would have got the more powerful engine.
Isn't that what happened with the 6 litre? People that ordered early in the summer of 2002 got the 7.3 and people that waited then found out about the 6?
Well, from what I have read, the Power Stroke's HP is going to stay the same as it is now; 325 HP. The torque is going from 560 pound feet, to 570 pound feet.
Now, if you are talking about the V-10, there are some major changes there! It's going from 310hp/425lb-ft to 355hp/455lb-ft.
And those of us bought an 04 and found out that the 05 is better turning. Dang, should have waited. But then in the spring they came out with a new paint color. Then in 06 different wheels
I tell ya man. There is not any knowing. Its like computers, there is always something better and as soon as you buy it its probably obsolete
i doubt they will raise power after the initial release, would be no point...why not just do it to reclaim bragging rights?
they have the ability to send it with 375hp/625ftlbs right now.....but there is a reason they do not do it.
trans? rr end? transfer case?
rest assured, there is certainly a reason....could even be the powdered metal rods!?
