Digital Odometer
I may be obtaining a f250 from a family member. i haven't really asked to many questions about the truck yet, because of the circumstances. It has a digital odometer and was wondering when the first year they were available in the f250.
Wondering what options were available then also. I am just trying to find some info. out with bothering my grandmother. All i really know for sure is it has a hitch and a plow. Regular cab. automatic.. Other then that I am not sure of the options. I am not a idiot about trucks, just trying to get info from you guys !!!

Well, there are a lot of options available for this range of trucks. What year is the pickup and things will be a little easier to pass on information. Right now it would all be guesses as to what options are there.
I think the first year for the digital odom is '92 But someone may correct that.

The digital Odometer is all I have to go by right now. Thats all I really noticed in the truck before i know it could possibly be mine. I know its a XLT. Is there anything that could give a more specific year. I guess I will just have to wait to see.

thanks for the reply's.. Brown 4x4: I assumed it was a super duty becasue it was a f-250. I guess that is not the case. I do beleive it is a 92-97. I am actually leaning that it is a 94-95. I'll have to wait and see.
Is there a f-250 yearbook with models and stuff to view. I did find one a while ago for f-150. Not a really good one, but atleast show some pics. Where can I obtain this info.

The Super Duties I was referring to are the 99+ F-250 HD and up. There was a Super Duty before, but it was the equivalent to an F-450.

I beleive its going to be a 92 - 97. I assume its just a plan ole F-250. I am really hoping to get my hands on this. I would love to have this truck for sentimental reasons. Its also a orangeish color...... Go Dolphins !!!

A lot of times Goverment agencies or large buisneses will order a fleet of trucks and request a certain "custom" color. I think Ford will paint a truck almost any color you want if you order enough of them. I doubt if that color was available on trucks that were sold to the general public. Probobly that truck was special orderd that color. Check the paint code on the door.

im gonna chime in here as well... my 92 bronco had the digital, my current 95 has it, but my father in laws 89 does not, so its prob what most people on here said about being the 92-96 years.....

Back in Arizona the highway department had alot of orange Ford pickups. I think the power company used to use taxi cab yellow trucks. If it is a 'Custom' model with few or no options, it likely was a fleet truck at one time. On the underside of the hood of my truck there is a special sticker for fleet/gov't vehicles with a fleet number on it. Mine was owned by an agency of the Fed gov't.

Alright.. I have the truck.. Its a 1995 F-250 XLT 351 4x4 Reg. Cab. It needs some TLC, but a nice looking truck.. Its not a custom colored fleet rruck, though he did custom order it. Its the "desert copper" color option. Its got quite a bit of miles on it.. about 213000. The oil was changed every 3000 miles. its a runner still.
Thanks for all the help you guys gave out.. It was great.. Fell free to give any info or things to look into about the truck.. I want to get it looked totally over soon by a mechanic.
