There is no way you are going to fit 2 12"ers in a standard cab Ranger without drilling holes in the backboard. I would think you would even have a bit of trouble with just one 12". They do make a custom box for a 10" that fits a std. cab Ranger, but it's slightly pricey.
If this is what your asking, A guy I used to work with used this solution to install speakers ( I Never would do it)
He cut 2 12 inch holes in the front part of the bed next to the cab, then cut the same holes to line up behind his seats. He found somewhere some 12 inch diameter plastic flexable vinyl tubing to connect between the cab and the bed so the sound would come through. He then attached speakers to the bed then built and encloser around the speakers inside of the bed of the truck.
All of this just to make his Truck vibrate and shake and go Boom...Boom Boom..Boom
With the Volume BassTurned all the way up. You can't hear any music. Just Boom!
I don't understand it, but then again , I'm an old guy and I don't think I'm suppose to.
Good Luck.
I went through the 2 12" subs phase about 7 years ago in my '88 Prelude. The trunk would bulge and the license plates used to rattle in their frames. It was fun at the time, but it did grow old, and I was sick of my ears ringing all day when I got out of the car. I'm into good, clean sound at lower volumes nowadays...
I think it's a phase some people go through, but most grow out of. Like was said before, I couldn't imagine how to get 2 12's in a super cab, let alone a regular cab...
If you're looking for just some nice, clean bass, Kenwood makes a small powered sub that would fit very well in just about anything. Only 30W (plenty in a std. cab) power a 5.25" sub. The air movement from the powered sub drives a 6.5" sub enclosed in the same unit. I have yet to hear how one sounds, and at $200 it will be a while before I purchase one of my own.
can't see how you'd fit q 12" subs in a super let a lone a standard?!
i've had 2 12" subs in my truck before it was broken into. after i get the security system put in i'll be putting the 2 12" subs back in with 2 15" subs as well. i'm also planning on changing out the stock speakers with some kenwoods that can run at 160W output. i like clear sound as well as the boom.
the space required for a sub to work its best is relevant to the sub itself. a more cheaply made sub will require a larger enclosure while one like a kicker solobaric sub only needs an enclosure that is about the same size as the box it comes in.
But my knees were all the way up so know i have two 10's, and 2 other sets i dont know what to do with.I got a memphis audio set,RF set, and and a JL audio set. ANd i also have a extra set of JL and a set of eclipse 12's. but its a good fit back behind the seats. But thanks for all the responses i might be asking some more questions or doing some responding
