I used to use the transmission chart over at fordsix.com, in the tech section, but for some reason that link for the transmissions doesn't work anymore. Anyone have a chart that has the gear ratios for the transmissions in our trucks? Thanks Fred
I don't have a chart, but here's a few I have written down...
C6- 2.47, 1.43, 1.00
E40D/AOD-W 2.74, 1.55, 1.00, not sure on the OD ratio, maybe 0.72?
ZF-5speed- 5.72, 2.94, 1.61, 1.00, 0.76
ZF-6speed- 5.79, 3.31, 2.10, 1.31, 1.00, 0.76
NP435- 6.69 Low, not sure on the rest.
I don't remember if the ZF ratios I wrote down were diesel or gas, sorry.
If you go to www.gearvendors.com or www.usgear.com they list the ratios for alot of truck trannys, Ford, GM and Dodge, and how their gearsplitting boxes affect the ratios.
